Joel Feldman, M.D.

Dr. Joel Feldman is on the Acesis Board of Directors.

Since 1984 Dr. Feldman has been in private group practice as a partner of CorVasc MDs, a thirty-six member cardiovascular surgical and interventional radiology group in Indianapolis, IN. He was the founding member of that organization’s Division of Vascular surgery which has subsequently grown to include 13 vascular surgeons and two interventional radiologists. He currently serves as one of two managing partners of CorVasc. Dr. Feldman served as a member of the department of General Surgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine (Detroit, Michigan) from 1980 to 1984.

Joel Feldman, M.D.

Dr. Feldman has performed external medical peer review of Vascular Surgery cases since 1994 and has reviewed over 400 cases. He has also coordinated and overseen data collection, management and analysis for external peer reviews in other specialties.

In addition to his clinical and administrative responsibilities with CorVasc MDs, Dr. Feldman is Chief of Surgery at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN, a member of that hospital’s executive peer review committee and Vice Chair of the Department of Surgery at the Heart Center of Indiana. He is a member of the Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society, the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Society of Interventional Radiology (associate member) and a member of the board of the Indiana Heart Institute.

Dr. Feldman received his A.B., Summa Cum Laude, from Dartmouth College in 1970 where he was selected as a Senior Fellow and elected to Phi Beta Kappa in his junior year. He received his M.D. from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1974 and was a member of AOA, the national medical honor society. After an internship in Internal Medicine at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School (Parkland Hospital) from 1974-75, he completed a residency in General Surgery and a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the same institution, finishing in 1980.
